Non-profit volunteer women's club supporting the Lake County community in scholarships, grants and community service. In existence in Mentor for over 50 years.
In partnership with the Mentor Police and Fire Departments, state board teachers and student volunteerism (for credit) sponsors safety training for 4-5 and 6 year old preschooler at Mentor Safety Town held at Garfield Elementary School in Mentor. How long have you been in business?
The Junior Women's Club of Mentor (JWCM) has been in existence in Lake County for over 50 years. Originated in 1962.
What is your primary product or service?
We are a 501c3 non-profit women's volunteer Club. Along with supporting the community through time, resources, scholarships and grants the JWCM sponsors Mentor Safety Town in partnership with the Mentor Police and Fire Departments, State Board Teachers and Teen Aides. This Safety Program teaches pre-school children.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
There are many women's Clubs. In addition to providing grants to the Lake County charitable organizations, providing Leaf and High School scholarships and servicing the community by supporting organizations we offer a safety program. Safety Town has been sponsored by the Junior Women's Club of Mentor for over 25 years.
